Training for Schools and Early Years Settings:
We run a number of courses for teachers within schools and Early Years Settings. These cover a wide range of topics covering both the design of your grounds and ideas and inspiration for taking learning and play outdoors. These courses can be delivered either as a whole day or twilight and you can either join one of our scheduled courses throughout the country, sharing ideas and inspiration with others, or we can run a day at your setting to focus how to make it work for you.

Year Long Professional Development Courses
We also run a year long training programme as we recognise that changing teaching practice often needs more than just one inspiring day. Our 'putting it into practice programme' provides an opportunity for teachers to mix training sessions with planning, running and reflecting on outdoor lessons with their own pupils in their own grounds. With dedicated support and peer learning opportunities this has proved to be highly effective.

"What a brilliant morning (not in weather)! The staff absolutely loved what you did"

Authority-Wide Conferences
We design and run conferences at an Authority level, bringing together a large number of teachers to hear from leading practitioners. Our events are highly participative and practical and designed to inspire as well as equip teachers with practical ideas that they can take back and apply in their own schools and settings.
We run our own annual networking event but have run conferences for Local Authorities on request.

Professional and Accredited Training
We are offering experienced outdoor professionals the opportunity to join LTL’s network of accredited school grounds professionals. The aim of the network, which we have been developing since 2003,  is to support schools and early years settings in the use, design and management of their grounds.
To become accredited and join the network, professionals need to complete our Professional Accreditation Programme
