Grounds for Learning, The UK School Grounds Charity

In order to deliver our vision we work with partners to develop and manage many national and regional programmes and research.

LTL channels much needed investment into school communities to tackle issues that improve opportunities for children and young people.

Through an experienced and dedicated National Programmes team we have developed and managed a varied range of national and regional initiatives that aim:

To support schools and settings make physical improvements to their school grounds.
To demonstrate best practice in school grounds use, design and management.
To create an evidence base that demonstrates the value of outdoor learning.
To develop resources that positively impact on the whole school community.

Our programmes provide an opportunity for partners to demonstrate a commitment to a number of government agendas including Every Child Matters, Extended Schools, Health, Respect and Sustainable Development.

We also have considerable experience of developing and designing programmes that can help corporate sector partners deliver their Corporate & Social Responsibility objectives and Community Investment priorities. These can be focused around a particular theme or target audience and provide opportunities not only to engage with and bring tangible benefit to local communities but also provide a vehicle to support the continuous professional development of employees.
